Zak and I have been married for 15 years! It sounds strange even to me. We have lasted longer than both of our parents marriages even did. They were the same ones who told us NOT to get married...Hmmm. How has it lasted so long you ask? I couldn't tell you really except for the fact we are two very stubborn people. I'm sure there have been times when one or both of us wanted out but we had the foresight to know those moments would pass. If someone asked me to write down everything I would want in a husband, Zak would be all of those things. Well, maybe he would at least score a 92%, no one is perfect! Hopefully I would even score close to that, I am not always the easiest person to love. He has kept trying for the last 15 years and I am so thankful he never gave up on me! Even though we didnt have the traditional courtship, I think maybe starting under the conditions we did actually made us stronger. We knew from the start how hard marriage was, how hard it would be to raise kids, how to make time for one another, how to bond together when times got tough. Somehow as we have gotten older we have grown up together not apart and for that I am thankful. Now onto the next 15 years...I wonder what new challenges, what new joys, what new triumphs, what new tragedies we might face? At least we can do it together.

OMG those are adorable pictures! Who took them and where is that trolly car? The photographer in me must know! Congratulations you two. In a day where not many people are sticking it out, it's good to see that you guys are. We love you guys and can't wait till you sell your house so we can see you more often!
Thanks Jen! We hope to see our house soon too! We feel like we are living two lives right now so it will be nice to just have one! That trolley car is at Trolley Square it is attached to a bar so dont mind all the people staring at you while you take pictures. I would love to hear from you where some cool places are to take pics in SLC, my little sister is starting her own photography business and could use some fun ideas.
congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you are a beautiful couple.
love you!
Wow- you guys are a good looking couple! Eve- you are more beautiful than ever - I was there when you guys started it all and soooo happy to see you going strong!!
Where are you moving?
Happy Anniversary! Great pictures. I totally agree with you that making marriage work is a conscious decision, made every day, every time you are feeling selfish or unloving. Sometimes I think if my 21 year old, newly-wed self could see me now, she would be so deflated seeing how un-romantic life really is. 15 years is a triumph - congratulations!
